Lexington Colts Youth Sports, Inc. was founded in 1999 by the visionary Elder/Coach Willie Reeves(deceased) and wife-Sherri Reeves.  This vision was born out of the desire to see the Holmes County Youth have some recreation activities they can become involved in thus steering them away from negative factions in the community such as gangs, violence, and other illegal activities. 

We realized that recreation and kinesthetics is a important part of a child’s growth and development.  We believe that it is a child’s desire to do positive activites as opposed to negative.  Despite several unsuccessful attempts to enlighten local elected officials of the need for consistent and regular after school activities for children, Coach Reeves began the task of starting his own recreation organization based on a model in Durant, Ms.  After partnering with Ms. Mattie Coleman and her organization, the Lexington Colts was born.  Over the years, we have serviced over an average of 1,500 children just for football only, not inlcuding baseball and basketball.
